2 TBS oil
300g stewing beef, cut into medium-sized chunks
2 medium onions, coursely chopped
3 TSP crushed garlic
2-3 TBS mild curry powder
300ml beef stock
10 small baby potatoes, washed
2 large tomatoes quartered
1 tsp salt
punnet whole fresh mushrooms, wiped
cup frozen green beans
2 heaped TBS chutney

Heat 1 TBS of oil and braise the meat until nicely browned. Set aside.
Heat the remaining oil and saut the onions and garlic until transparent.
Add the curry powder and cook over a low heat for 2 minutes.
Add the stock, potatoes, tomatoes, meat and seasoning.
Bring to the boil and simmer for 45 minutes.
Add the beans and mushrooms. 
Cook for a further 15 minutes.
Stir in the chutney just before serving.
Serve with poppadums and sambals of your choice.
